looks whats back on the market....

im about to buy a rieger rs4 bumper, were can i get the grills from for the bumper.

It does look rather nice, if a little expensive. I'm sure once seen in the metal if it's as good as described one would appreciate it's value though.

They don't, he'll never sell it for that price, it's worth about £2.5k
Andy the car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. When I sold it to the current owner I had loads of interest at the advertised price of £4.5k. The first person who viewed the car bought it.

I had spent literally £k's on the modifications (I know you dont expect to get that money back) but the guy who bought it wanted a car that had already had all the work done, and knew the car had been owned and loved by an enhusiast.

If someone is the the market for a 1.8T Sport then yes they can pick them up for £2k but it will cost them alot more than another £2.5k to get it to the condition mine was in when I sold it to the current owner. If he wanted he could sell the wheels for nearly £1k on ebay alone.

Obviously I havent owned the car for 6 months so I dont know how its been looked after by the new owner but if its in the same condition as when I sold it then I think £4k isnt far off the mark.

People seem to have this mis-conception that modified cars should be avoided but surely if the owner is a true enthusiast then these cars really can be a bargain for the new owner. When I sold the A4 I bought a modified S4. It was more expensive then others on the market but had a full history with Audi specialists and receipts totalling over £20k. I havent regretted it for a minute.

Just my two pence.

A couple of comments thats got me curious...

FSH until 62k and the car now has 90k odd, does that mean he's done 30k on the car?

He's owned the car 6 months and yet claims to have serviced the car every 5k? That wouldn't be true surely? Does that mean he has added the 30k to the car and therefore has had the car serviced every 5k?

Answers on a postcard...

It doesn't read too well, he's just copied and pasted most of that from the ad he bought it from, it's my best mate that's selling it.

I know he's spent money on it since he bought it and he hasn't even had it 6 months yet, i know this cos i was with him went he bought it.

It's a good, well modded car that i've driven alot, i've got an A4 1.8T the same age that i've had chipped and it is noticeably faster and smoother than mine and you get plenty of attention in it.

Mind you, i am a handsome ******* though.....:p

No you're absolutely right, but it's finding that person. I was merely commenting on the market value for that car. If you can find another enthusiast who would appreciate the mods, and likes the colour then yes of course you'd get nearer the asking price, and I guess you were lucky that you managed to do it. But realistically that's not typical.
Maybe he'll get lucky but I doubt it at this time of year especially.

It's got a FSH, but only Audi dealer up to 62k.
