Behind battery

Replaced my crap lil battery that the previous owner had put on with a calcium halfords job £69.99 but to me £34 lol

Found a clear tube which has a small elbow on the end tucked behind the battery, where does this go?? notice it just runs down through the bulkhead and its not attached to anything!!

Its just the overflow from an older non sealed battery, non important.
Chuck it in the bin

yup can confirm that, however i still connected this to my new bosch silver top battery
