I have a 6speed 2000 S4 (92,000 miles) and when im accelerating and I left off the gas without pressing the clutch she slows down very fast making it feel like its surging. I know obviously when letting off the gas it will slow down but this is more like a surge.. anyone know what the problem could be?

that's a possiblity, ill check them out today.. i have more of a feeling its a motor type issue... Im hoping it's not a turbo issue.. could it be my diverter valves or the boost not properly escaping? i notice it only happens when the rpms get high enough to where the turbos are spooling up and i let off the gas

try and do the same thing but press the clutch this will take the engine out of the picture and see if it does the same thing

well in that case it is engine related ......i would check the throttle body and check the movement of it .should be a supresser of some sort that makes the throttle go down slowly when released check this is working
