Does anyone know if the demo chips/maps that Revo and other companies do can be done to my car?

I was lead to believe that the DBW can be done but Non-DBW cant. Although both can be chipped I was also told that the Non-DBW is a solder job or similar and not just and up-dated map.

Can anyone shine any light on this?

i have a 1999 1.8t sport and had the revo chip programmed into the ecu through the laptop its put the power up 2 about 195 bhp ( not had it on a rolling road ) but it does the job quite nicely cant mind how much it was exactly think it was about £600

If i recall correctly there are no free trials available on the NDBW Cars, i dont think thier ECU's would wipe the software after the trial.

I have a similar model to you Beerzo (P reg) and I had to go for the physical Chip change in the ECU as the Revo software remap (or free 4 hour trial) wouldn't work in the older ECU's. I had mine done at Jabbasport in Peterborough and am very impressed with it (Circa £500).

Pennies are being saved as we speak!!!!
