All dashboard needles are dead

Hi, my A4 (1.6) has suddenlt developed a fault. When I parked up last night it was all ok but this morning I found that none of the needles on the dash work.

The main dashboard light has also failed, but the computer, the indicators, the symbols for lights, etc are working fine. However, as the needles are dead the mileage is no longer displayed.

If anyone has any pointers as to what to check first I would appreciate it. All the fuses seem fine on visual inspection.

Unfortunately I wouldn't think there's a great deal you can do except get a new set of clocks.

If you do need a new set of clocks and don't want to pay the Audi price, try the following contact. It seems they have several in stock, they are 2nd hand but they sell for about 85 pounds complete. I am not sure if the ECU holds the milage or the speedo? I'm sure there is someone out there that can comfirm this. Hope this helps, otherwise if you know someone who is a wizzard with electronics then they might be able to do some fault finding on your dash as it sounds like a component failure or cable problem.
