Any of you guys got a de cat pipe fitted?

Had my car chipped and put a K&N on it but wouldn't mind a little more grunt without splashing out too much cash. Seen the pipes on Ebay for about £90 but don't want to fit one if they don't work!

Also, would the emissions go up and make it fail an MOT????????

Yeah will fail an mot.

I have one, is a pain to fit but i can do it easily now.

You will not notice that much of a gain if any tbh.

Definite better response and less lag down low in the revs I noticed, plus it's more keen to rev up to about 5k or so if you're stuck in a gear overtaking etc. Sounds weird sometimes though. Anyone elses a bit raspy?

P.S. I do actually have a spare one as well as the one fitted. Am looking into getting some made soon so watch this space.

Get an MOT then remove the cat that day, I did..

I'm getting my S4 de-catted and full stainless system fitted next thursday so will report back then what advantages / disadvantages it has.

Good thing is, it's a custom exhaust all done for £489. :)

Heard that removing the cats gives higher flow of gases, freer revving and better engine timing advancement due to breathing easier. So with a map, surely thats a good thing (if your map is done after the zorst mod)
