Hi all,

Since a week I own aA4 2.4 quattro 1999.
When I go over a speedbump or something like that the rear suspension make a squeky sound. Does anyone on the forum know what the problem can be ??

Best regards, Peter (NL)

Had the same problem with mine..it was just when i went over speed-bumps at a LOL low speed like they are intended to make you do..what i found out when i changed my springs..its the vibration of the springs at a low speed that u can hear as a sound.being compressed...if you go push up and down on your car u should hear it.(rear end).usually when you go over a speed bump the suspension is being compressed more then usual...there is nothing wrong with it making that sound...u can cover the springs with a lithium grease that will damper the sound...think of it as a door squeaking when u open it..real slowwwly..vibration refracted as sound comming off the upper and rear mounting pads..
