Well I bought some special film for the light and tinted them. Took about an hour to do each light although the pro's do it in about 10min. You loose about 10-15% of the light through the film but as I have OEM Xenon's I can live with that as they are a lot brighter than stock lights

So tell me what you think.

How come your roof is black?
Looks good!
The lights look great m8!

Well I think its a good way for him to see if he likes it or not before he actually ruins his oem lights by spraying them only to find 2 weeks later he doesnt like it.
Personally with the roof sprayed black and having black lights it matches very well!
Id like to see a pic with the lights on to see what it looks like.

Looks evil, how long till :busted_cop: pull you though?

Who's 355?

pigs will love that one, gives them a good excuse to dodge burglars and psychos.

Thx for all the comments.

As for legality it's a grey area as I still put out more light than most cars so time will tell.

I will get some more pic's of the lights at night and from other angles.

The reps mine.

Glass for the rear window extends round to the rear panels, just above the engine bonnet. Or the rear lights, they point dead flat backwards on the 355 and petrude a bit more away from the car. Only a real keen eye would spot it normally. Still think it looks mint though :)

Oh ok got ya, grew up in porsches so never paid much attention to Rari's he he

I think the tint looks good, I was thinking of getting the Blue film for mine. Was the application fairly easy since it took an hour?

Its a two man job as you need someone holding the hair dryer while you work the film.

Here are some pictures with the lights on and as you can see not too many problems lighting up the street.

wow how did you know it was a replica from that
Mr2 chassis?

not sure about lights, not my taste but each to his own

Gives a sorta blueish tint with lights on .
Yeah looks good :rockwoot:

They are HID's, should naturally have a blue tint :p

Doesnt look like there's much difference in out-put for you doc, also cant tell they've been blacked out with them on either, which is good :D

...this might sound weird but your car now looks "blind" like its got its eyes closed or wearing shades..

I think you are crackers. Tinted headlights. LOL. Now where's that chocloate teas pot I saw on eBay............

:haha:

sorry but that just sounded so funny!

got to say i prefer them standard mate but they may grow on me... it does match the roof!

Personally I think they spoil the look of the car. Saw it on the stand last week and for me it detracts from the other good mods you've done.

drove past your motor this morning in Bermondsey, have to say in the flesh they look pretty good! :)

I have to agree they look far better in the flesh, however like someone else said it does distract the eye of the amazing job that has been done on the body conversion.

Doc - Did you check out the yellow one at Combe, the rear bumper fit was shocking. Yours looks swwwweet with the S4 rear, that has totally transformed your car.

The S4 is so much better than the other bumper I had fitted. I only bought the other bumper as it was the only bumper that would fit as I did not know how to make the S4 bumper fit, and to top it off the other bumper cost me nearly double the cost of the S4.

Not too bad TBH. Is there a thread anywhere on fitting the S4 kit? and where to get it from?
