New to the audi scene

Hello everyone, I just purchased my first audi, a 2001 1.8T quatto. I feel in love with these cars when a friend of mine bought one and hooked it up. My questions are what kind of performance mods can i do to this thing for a reasonable price? I hear the chip upgrade is wonderful but doew it require any other mods to work properly and efficiently? And what kind of blow off valve or dump valve should be used. I enjoy the woooosh sound from a BV valve but am not willing to sacrifice performance and reliability for it. The car is my daily driver although it doesnt get driven much because of my job. Any info you can give me would be helpful.

Is it a B5 or B6 shape mate??

Nothing else needed for a chip but it is recommended to upgrade the DV, as they tend to go after a remap. Forge is a good DV or if you want a BOV as known by the Americans then I would go Baileys twin piston as fitted to my car. Again most will say don't go BOV as they don't work well with our cars but then I have had no issues in over a year.
