ABS

Driving the other day i noticed the ABS light did not turn off as usual and since it was wet out i pressed the brakes hard and they did not work as i expected then i had shut off my car and started it again the next day and noticed the light was off. I started my car again a few days later and the light came on again so i shut my car off then started it and notcied that when i turned my car on it didnt make that click it usually does down by the brake pedal.. but when the light is off and i turn my car on it clicks like it is supposed to.... to anyone who can make sense of what i just said do you know what it could be?


basically.. My ABS is working and not working randomly...

Hi,
It might be your ABS control unit. The best thing to do is to get a diagnostic done. My ABS control unit went a couple of years ago and I gought a second hand part and fitted it myself. Cost about £150 in all. Beter than the £880 ex vat for the part alone that Audi were charging me!
