    Porsche brakes

Anyone on here have them or know about them?

    Which calipers work which dont?

I think both boxter and boxter s work.

Where do you get the carriers from?

What discs do you need to get?

    Cheers.

they all work, 993, 996, Boxter, Cayenne (post 996 they overlap between the models anyway e.g Cayenne and GT3 are the same 6 pots)
you will need to match discs to calipers through, as the offset can be a bugger, range available that work from A8, RS4 (B7), RS6, through to aftermarket ones from Movit (discs on bells) carriers available from various places like eBay or you can have some made up by an engineer (very simple and you can get the exact dimensions from the spec of the ones for sale on eBay ) and really tailor your choice of discs. By doing this you can avoid using expensive discs (Porsche, Movit, Brembo etc). might cost you more for the carriers but you will save in the long run. there is a tech article for RS2 version calipers on Audi world here

Just for the record Cayenne and Gt3 6 pots are not the same, the Cayenne is a lug mount caliper and is a totally different caliper to the GT3 6 pot.

The Boxster caliper (not the S variant) as stock fits over a 25mm thick disc, we use it (after it has been modified) on discs upto 28mm thick and it can be used on a disc 320 diameter, if you want to go bigger then we need to look at the 996 caliper, this can fit a disc upto 340x30. We also use this caliper on the 993tt cross drilled disc (with custom bell) 322x32mm (again after we have modified it).
6 pots are really an over kill for your chassis, knowing the wheel size and offset also helps so we can determine the best setup for your car.

Yeah i saw that a guy on (Jason) here had Porsche Boxter S calipers on his A4.

I think you can use the S4 discs with them or the a pair of A8 discs. Not 100% tho.

I would quite like to still be able to use my 17" alloys if I get the brakes.

Not definately gonna get them as I have the 312mm upgrade but just considering it.

All our conversions are based around genuine discs (either Porsche or Audi).

and a range of Porsche monoblock caliper's

17" wheel, depending on it's offset you could use the 323x30 disc from the '99 S8 with a 996/Boxster S caliper, you would need a custom brake bracket, which is what my company does

Corey - can you do a Porsche caliper to work with a stock front S4 disk (on a '98 S4)? Stock 17" S4 alloys.

What would you advise. Looking for a budget upgrade or something I can do in stages at least.

PM me if you can about .

I did try calling you a few weeks back - however mobile only number and it wasn't on.
