....a 2001 S4 was made? As in, what part of the year? For instance, I'm seeing some "2001 S4's" for sale BUT I'm seeing the old 2000 badges on them. This is cornfusin' the hell oudda me. I'm aimin' for a 2001 (ladder year) S4 cause from what I read on this forum, audi updated a few things after mid year that we all know about so I won't bother to list. Any input would be helpfull, unless your a jackass. HEH, kiddin', jackasses are welcome too.

So your trying to say, if it has the revised s4 badges, then i'm in the clear for the 2001.5 updates? (if they hav'nt swapped them out.)

If you go onto VAGPARTS web site they have an explanation bit on the chassis No. Now I know Paul from VAG parts was able to tell me what year my car was manufactured by simply giving him the chassis No.
