Dim Display when hot

Is it possible to buy replacement display panels for a '98 A4 Avant without having the expense of a whole Speedo / Tacho Pod ? Robert.

Yeah my display has a line of pixels missing when it is really hot outside to.

Would quite like to see what anyone else has done with this problem.

I've heard that it was a very common problem with the b5's and apparently a few hundred pounds to replace.

Na it comes up with other stuff on it. Has like trip one and two and ave mpg one and two
