Can You Help Please

Hi there I`m new to this site but I have recently bought a A4 1.8 SE which when hot runs like a dream but when cold will not idle does anyone know how to sort this any help will be greatly appreciated thanks

Probably one of the temp sensors playing up, quaite a common fault.
A specialist or dealer with VAGCOM will be able to identify the culprit.

As Andy says, it more than liklely the temp sender unit, mine was the blue 3/4 wire job just under £30 IIRC
