has anyone purchased an aftermarket sat nav system. can you tell me what maps they run on. am thinking of getting one but do not just want street maps, would want to have ordnance survey also for hill walking etc.

I'm not sure if there is any software out there that will do both in the same package, but I use an HP pocket PC with Tom Tom for the road, and memory map for OS level mapping, seems to work quite well, hope this helps
got tomtom 5 for the PDA (win 5 equipped Qtec), works ok. would prefer a wired GPS receiver as the bluetooth connection is a liability and a waste of signal IMO. was disappointed with search function for p1ssy little streets, but it does what it says on tin. you can download some pretty detailed maps, not sure about hill walking though.
