Just after sorting out the mot repairs, my a/c blower stopped working. How much are these and can I fit a working one myself? It feels strange having to drive with windows down.

Yes, it's a really easy job.
Remove the glovebox and the blower is right behind it. You just have to remove one of the metal brackets in front of it to give you enough room to remove the blower unit, which is just secured with 3 screws.
The OEM blower is made by Valeo, Audi part no. 8D2 820 021.
You can pick these up new on ebay for £80, which is slightly better than the £300 Audi will charge.
