De-chrome

Does anyone know how to remove the chrome around the windows on my 98 2.8 B5.

I am going to have a stab at painting the trim around the front grill at some point and would like to remove the rest at the same time if poss.

The ones on the lower door window will pull off but the others running round the body to the back windows will be best painted on the car.

Painted? Really.... I want a matt surround on my car to match the RS4 mirrors I got. How do I get this done?

The main trim round the top of the window is riveted on to the car so no quick swap on that but more of a body shop job if you don’t know what you’re doing. Also I don't think Audi did the Ally trim for the saloon so then best you can do there is use some Red scotch pads and rub them down to give you an ally look, just did my grill ring looks much nicer than chrome.
