top 5 tips!!

i have just got my first audi which is a a4 1.8t sport quattro w reg, my question is can some of you ppl give me your top 5 tips on performance and styling mods, can you include price and purchase place. thank you in advance :thumbs-up:

OK, im gonna pretty much say AmD for mine because that's where I go, but MRC or any other will do just as well :

1. Get it remapped.
2. Get a milltek exhaust before the remap.
3. Lower it on some form of coilovers.
4. 18" RS6 wheels (/me runs away !)
5. Get an RS4 grill

I pretty much agree with olly but i would also suggest a B&M short shift.

I have one and its great.

Prob the cheapest mod that can make a noticable difference is:

N75J valve- best mod you can buy for less than 45 notes.

What ever you do don't spoil the car with any dodgy kits, subtle is the way to go. Put a big set of 18 or 19 inch wheels on it, and lower it on coilovers. Then add a stainless exhaust system, and possibly a subtle boot spoiler.

it'd have to be a remap, facelift headlamps, red clear clear red tail-lamps, BBS rims and maybe some brushed mirrors. Then coilovers and ARB's.

i'd agree with the other guys

1. AMD remap - easiest bhp increase ever
2. Miltek exhaust system
3. 18" RS6's
4. RS4 Bumper + S4 Skirts + rear valance blended to rear bumper
5. GOOD Coilovers, lower it so there is minimal gap but not much rubbing...

You may get pulled for looking like a drug dealer, but atleast you know its done hehe!

Im loving these chrome ones they do, a lot of you prob thinks its very chav though!

Or, like me, if you've just bought an abused example:
1. Engine Flush
2. Fresh oil for 100 miles to complete flush.
3. Take off sump and clean out all the crud.
4. Replace clogged up oil pump
5. Reassemble and wait for K03 to expire and hope you've saved up enough for a Garrett when it does...

I agree get it looked over first then make sure she is good to go first off then start throwing money at it!!

Worryingly no-one has mentioned uprated brakes aswell as upping the power by 50bhp or so via a remap or chip!

My first mod was uprated pads and discs - although admittedly I was lucky and the previous owner paid for the Revo re-map.

id have said the factory brakes have no problem if you have upped the powe to 200bhpish

maybe, but mine were knackered and cheapo kwik-fit rubbish. in under a year they were warped and had no feel, i bought it like that and replaced it all straight away so i dunno.

1. Remap / chip etc (Mine is Revo'd but if I were paying i'd get it Jabba'd after doing exhaust, dump valve etc.)
2. Uprated re-circ dump valve
3. Suspension lowered & worn bushes sorted
4. 18" alloys - take your pick
5. Exhaust system + de-cat

I've lumped a few together here and thought of a few more for my shopping list!
