Guys
Had the 98R 2.8Q for a couple of months now
need the 'oh so knowledgable ones':idea: to help me
1) idle speed-what should it be and how to adjust? was told that if you dis the battery you need to get the idle ecu reset?

2) will S3 alloys fit? some nice ones in the classifieds :biggrin:

3) Just bought some 40mm lowering springs-are they a diy fit, if so, a brief 'please explain' would be nice :smile:

4) bit smokie on start up -whats the verdict can you change valve stem oil seals using the compressed air method??? without taking off head???
do you know anyone that does this??? sth yorkshire

other than that i'm happy with the beast
£1250 full grey leather Hibiscus red with 18" RS8 reps on (getting RS4's so will be for sale cheap soon) 150k good history,drinks a little (valve stem oil seals) but everything works

Idle speed is about 700rpm once warm, a little more when cold.
S3 alloys definately won't fit as they're 100PCD, whereas the A4 is 112. You'd need S4 alloys or above.

How do I adjust the idle as its too low and it feels like it wants to stall as i pull away from the lights??? unless i rev it

aarh do they need VAGCOM to set them up? it had a new throttle body before i bought it....mmm

Whats it gona cost to get set up with software and VAGCOM??
