Fitted a new electric fan yesterday, slight problem with a mystery strip of rubber? don't know where it came from?
Not sure if it was there before which caused my old fan to burn out?
It was wedged between fan and rad, it caused my new fan to not spin vertically and catch the rad a bit and jam.
I took it out and re fitted fan and all good now but in my anger I threw it away, but now I have no idea where it came from?
I had a new rad fitted a while back and I have no idea how long my fan was broke could it have happened then.
Is there some kind of rubber strip to protect the rad against anything?
Just a mystery?
