Guys, does anyone know of a schematic for the 1.8t engine oil system? reason being I'm trying to find out if the oil retaining valve in the oil filter bracket is fitted to the [my] AJL engine.

Head drain back check valve, keeps oil up "in the head" for start up rather than waiting for the oil to be pumped up from the sump....

yep, its in the rear of the housing, you need to take it off to get at it.
