need help s4 revs up when maf is plugged in

hi there got a b5 s5 , when I unplug the maf the car runs fine then I plug the maf in and its revs up like mad ?

Either the MAF is broken, or theres perhaps an airleak or similar.

Mine did this used to rev up and down between 1k and 2k just disconnected maf it stop plugged it in and it started again replaced the MAF and it was fine.
