pic request kinda urgent

i need urgently, a picture of someones rear view mirror from a 98/99 A4 B5 SE.

i need to clarify that the plastic cowling from the rear view mirror goes all the way up and meets the roof lining.

Went out to have a look at mine (Oct '98 built A4 SE) but it doesn't have that stalk on the mirror base at all....
Just had a look at ETOS and I see that's the self-dimming mirror?

yep its the self-dimming mirror. which i thought was standard fit on the SE's i guess not then.

anyone able to help? im sure audi wouldnt design it with a half inch gap...

Is the gap not there to allow use of the small centre sunvisor ?

Just had a look at mine and it does go right to the headlining, hope this helps,

if someone could take a pic of it, and with the central sunvisor down that'd be fantastic, currently having a fight with autoglass about their bad re-production replacement screens, now they've ordered a one direct from audi

Maybe they just stuck the mirror boss in the wrong place... just a thought!

that is the problem. but seeing as the boss it stuck on at the glass factory, and not by autoglass, its a problem.

lets hope the audi screen that arrives this week is right
