I just replaced my rear disks on my 1997 a4 and my abs is now faulty it will work for a while then beep 3times and come up with a fault when it was working it was operating at low speed breaking. What is wrong how can I fix it, I have put an ohm meter over the rear sensors they appear to be switching, we had to heat up the caliper bracket bolts to get them out eve weld nuts onthem to undo them can anyone help?

Could be the cable to the sensor? I've had to replace a cable on my old Passat. Was a high resistance on the old one. The sensors were simply smashed out to replace them, really not worth messing about trying gently lol

The rear disks have a wee reluctor ring attached to the back of them, which dont usually come with the new disks.

You have to swap it over from the old disk, or buy new ones and fit them.

Did you do this?
