where can you fit an amplifier in a b5 avant

any ideas where i can fit an amplifier with dimensions of [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Trebuchet MS, sans-serif] 9"W x 2"H x 7-3/4"L in my a4 avant. preferably without resorting to putting it in the boot, are there any hidden cubby hole that aren't taken up with god knows what. as you can tell im starting to get stressed with it.[/FONT]

I bolted mine to the back of the rear seats.

Then fitted a boot liner:

Boots fully usable, theres enough slack in the cables that you can fold them down and use it as a proper estate car. The amps are steel bodied so dont care about stuff stacked on top of them either. Plenty of dump trips done with the boot stacked high with crap!

wanted to avoid putting in boot if possible. spent all day wiring it all under the passenger seat went to put seat back in to find not enough clearence.

Why avoid the boot though?

Ive destroyed a lot of amps in the boot in the past

I dont know how but they just seem to die when they are in the boot

Buy better amps then

My avants got them mounted as shown, and my saloons got them mounted on the underside of the parcel shelf. Both been there for years and havent broken.
