Knocking Noise

Hi!

I'm getting a wierd knocking noise when the wheels are turned and the car starts to move off.

Coming from the front wheels area. Any ideas what it could be? Is it a common problem?

Are either of these things expensive and shoulod I get it checked ASAP?

CV Joint can be done urself, think the parts come in at £50-£60 per side.

Depends whether you're happy to drive knowing your car's suspension/drive train could fail at any time - luckily for me, when the front suspension collapsed on mine I was driving at 10mph.

CV joint it sounds like, especially if its more evident when turning. Is it worse when you turn one way over the other? Does it get noisier the harder you accelerate?
