What year did they finish making the B5 1.8T

They were last made on an X plate so I think it should be early 2001.

The ETKA reference says 1998-2001
but they were actually built up to late 2000 and just spilled over to the new plate.
Mine was built in May and not registered till Nov 99!
means it was sitting in some lot for 7 months!!!

The official model changeover came in March 01 to coincide with the Y-plate, I think, but as is always the way, some B5 models were still kicking around showrooms after the B6 was launched.
Rare, though. I have seen two Y-plate B5 models in five years.

See other thread. Someone is presently seeling a 51-plate B5 Avant on ebay. I guess the Avant must have run on for a while longer after the saloon switched to the B6.
