Hi all,

noticed in the mornings before I turn over the engine the volt meter is sitting just under 12v that's not normal is it? Also recently noticed once engine fires I briefly get a sqark noise I can only imagine that's the starter motor! Could the lower voltage cause that? Doesn't do it all the time though.

thanks,

Ash

The starter motor wouldn't cause the battery voltage to sit under 12v that sounds like a battery issue.
If it's over 5 years old then it's past it's best.
You need to check the alternator is charging correctly and if so I would invest in a new battery and go from there.
Car parts for less are about as cheap as you get for good quality batteries.
