right I know where I can lay my hands on anti roll bars from a PFL s4. would these be a good upgrade for my 110 tdi quattro?

Front is thicker and solid, rear is the same... I would upgrade the suspension first, that gives you the most grip in all conditions !

I can also lay my hands on s4 springs and shockies but I wasn't sure about the front springs regarding engine weight extra

The 2.7TT and 1.9 tdi are different weight ratings and it will stay higher at the front than before. Rears are the same...

yea that was what I was thinking as well.
would I get off with using the s4 shockies and keeping my own springs?
would they stiffen it up a bit?
the boy says there fresh and never got much use before he upgraded

S4 shocks will help a wee bit, especially if they're low mileage and the tdi ones have moon mileage on them.
