Funny Noise at 6.5-7K

Hi all, just been out in the car, when i give it beans all is fine, however from 6.5-7k it makes an odd whistle.

Never heard it before, sounds like air movement.

Now does it sound bad or could it be the actuator opening to let gasses release?
Boost seems to say as it was and does not increase, or deacrease!
not other effects across the range tho.


Any ideas?

why are you ragging it all the way?
the turbo's tend to run out of steam at the high revs, iir

Yup... but its just been remaped and i was having a play. Its interestiong to know where the power drops off and what pressure it holds to the line!

I believe the limiter has also been raised by MRC tooo.

Its not something i do everyday! However if i dint do it,i wouldnt know about the noise!

jesus, most a4's torque band is 3-4k and dies at about 6......what are you doing shifting so late lol!

id say my toque was lower, say 2-2.5 thru to a much higher 5ish!

Anyway i was askin a question, not askin to be flamed for over reving my car!!!

A sensible answer would be prefered!
