does anyone know what might cause the interior lights (front and rear but not the boot) to turn on by themselves?

Mine are doing that at the moment on the 1.9.
You know it's not the microswitch if the footwell lights are off.
Scan the car and see if there is a crash sensor code.
I have not looked into it yet, but suspect an airbag module or wiring.

I suspect it means the module is on its way - but I still haven't had time to look!

I'll post when I get any info - but it will be a while as I'm up to my ears at the moment and the 1.9 is the standby car!
I also have this wierd lightning problem, it goes like this: unlocking door - nothing. Opening door - nothing. Ignition on and of again - lights on 
opening and shutting door turns off lights again. And this is constant. I can replicate any day... i conclude that my door lock switches are ok?
