    garrett t3

    Hey guys i need abit of help i got a garrett t3 turbo off a friend and need help finding out abit of info about it. it got a cold side.42 and a hot side .82 its a twin scroll as well is there anything special about this turbo its apparently brand new never been used if i could find out more it will be brill.

    Its a turbo of a big industrial diesel engine of some description.

    You'll really need to remove the compressor and turbine housing and measure up the wheels to find out exactly what sort of spec it is.

    A quick google suggests its a T3 45 trim compressor.

    Thats the same compressor used on the old 1.6 Escort RS turbo, and you'll be lucky if it'll flow 200hp.

    It was originally fitted to a 4 litre diesel engine that made about 90hp.
