Lads smurf needs the cam belt doing and was wondering if anyone on the forum would be able to do it at a cheaper price. Been quoted 250. Also would it make more sense getting the clutch done as smurfs is very high and gear box is notchy. Thanks lads

yeh, the bite always ends up right at the top for some reason on old clutches on these cars.
Changing the clutch will fix it, but other than the bite point it doesnt usually cause any issues.

cam belt isnt that hard, long process but not hard, unless your not good with other car bits.

as for the clutch, mines been slipping, and been so for 18 months, im just either to skint or too lazy to get to the machine shop to finnish my smf kit off. but seems a slipping clutch lasts a long time in these cars!
