LEAKING HEATING MATRIX

Hi, I suspect my heating matrix has a pinhole in it,

The blower works fine but only puts out cold air no matter where the controls are so i suspect there is also a air blockage as well.

Looking through other posts there is talk of putting K-Seal into the car and i am wondering if this will cure my problem and if i will have to bleed the system to get rid of the air block.

My car is a 1996 A4 1.9 Tdi 110

Don't think k-seal is going to fix the problem. and may cause problems. Also Are you losing any coolant? I would start with trying to flush out the matrix remove the pipe going into the matrix and stick a hose in one side and see how much crud comes out the other.

wierd thing is not losing any coolant

when i go from low temp with air con on to hi temp with air con off i get a puff of smoke and the smell of coolant so thats why i suspect the matrix at fault

when its running and up to temp has the water pipes got any pressure in them?
