Hi guys just recently my temp gauge is showing some worrying signs.
Normaly it stay's at 90 degrees Normal op temp

But in the last week it is creeping over the 90 and up to 100 105 degrees im not sure why. When I Stop then the fan comes on any ideas

Coolant is fine do you think it might be a sign of the thermostat going ???

Unlikely cos tne stat should fail open which would not cause overheating.Probably the waterpump is going

mmm actually I think now I have been having water come from my car on the floor but I thort this was the air conditioning unit ?? if it is my ater pump why has the coolant level nto dropped ?#

Be sure that yu don't have any air in the system, mine shot up over 100c when I hadn't bled it properly

I have no air lock in the system im going to change the thermostat as im sure this is the problem

failed water pump sounds plausible.

Mine worked fine if the revs were low, but bring it up past about 2-2.5k and the pump impeller would start slipping on the shaft and the temp would shoot up. slow down or stop and the impeller would grip again and temp would drop back down.

Aragorn this is exactly the problem m8y ive got a day off work today so im going to have a look
