a4 1.8t s2000 air filter

Hi I'm new to this and was wondering if anyone has used or if we could use a s2000 air filter on a a4 1.8t

Yeah but on a s3 8l it fits right on . No messing about . Straight swap .

The filters are cheaper enough to give it a go.

It doesn't fit, turbo intake pipe is about 15-20mm too small in diameter

Yeah as the S2000 is 3" ours has a 2.75", the S3 lads fit the s2000 one over the maf and it will just about hold it !! you could get a 180' silicone hose that goes from 2.75" ID to a 3" ID and remove the standard airbox and make a bracket like the k&n one that bolts to the maf fixing holes and pipe your pipe off the maf ???

Yeah I don't see why that wouldn't work, reducers can be picked up cheap

Cheers lads if all I need is a reducer ( got one somewhere ) I'll give it a go . Cheaper than k and n cone filter . Just want to make the old car a bit more sprightly . I can knock the brackets up at work .
