So one of my down pipes is blowing on the seam by the Flexi, propbably from all the pushing and pulling when the engine was taken out, unfortunately the engine is back in now, and i have been driving about very happily.

However i need to do something about the blowing, and a bandage wont cut it really, so....

If i chop out the section where the cats are also i am guessing and weld a piece in, am i going to upset my car?

i dont really want to replace the DP's yet as i dont have the funds and time.

thanks again in advance

I presume its an S4?

If its only the cat under the car, it'll be fine, theres another cat bolted to the turbo itself.

yes sorry its my S4, the blow is the seam after the Flexi and before the Cat under the Car, so i am thinking of a solution to sort it, which was to just cut the pair out and replace with a section of pipe
