thrust bearing?

today my A4 has started to play up /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

the clutch is odd. it kinda snaps on so it jolts forward when it bites. where as it used to 'blend on' if you get what i mean?
the biting point is quite high, im thinking thrust bearing... right/

yup thrust bearing and release bearing are the same thing,
The A4s bight right near the top of the pedal normally anyway
