The Dear car is loosing coolant and dumping it on the driveway. Drip, drip , drip losing about a reservoir full every 8 hours and it seems to go faster when we are driving.

I just can not see the point of leakage - its not the radiator hoses but seems to be further back, are there any points in the coolant system which are well known for giving way?

I have got ten hours to sort it.....

Have you checked for water in the oil?

Check the plastic unit that the coolant temp sensor sits in as mine had cracked and was leaking.

CTS mount would be in the right area, I'll go an have a look see

Don't know what the score is on the tdi, but on my 1.8t the oil cooler had corroded in a way that it was leaking coolant, but no cross contamination with the oil.

Spot on Oranoco, its some thing in the CTS mount area - what did you have to replace to sort it out?

Get a new housing from audi for about £30 iirc

I had a spare that I rescued from an old engine I had removed from another A4 so just fitted that. Glad to have been able to help though
