S4 Engine and RS6 turbos

Do you think there'd be much of a demand/market for an S4 engine c/w RS6 turbos, 3" DPs (with flanges to suit the turbos), FMIC etc?

I'm thinking of a new project on my track car involving an engine swap, so the above items might be for sale.

The engine would fit into the Passat, but other cars like the Golf/Bora perhaps?

Might not be much demand here try audisrs, youll probably find they will just want the turbos as they will already have the engine with RS4 mods !!

Will do ta, but engine's go for pennies on there, maybe £500.
Turbos I reckon I could sell for £1200 ish.

I am a big fan of the 1.8t
but 1.8t with GT35 or similar vs a 2.7tt with RS6's?

assuming you had the same lightening option on a v6 engined car
torque curve and power delivery aside
the power potential on a Rs6'd 2.7tt is much higher for much less outlay

to get 400+ on a AJL/AEB you are looking at serious hardware, much better off stroking to 2l or a 1.9 bore as a minimum
complete head rebuild and replace all valvetrain with Ti
rods, pistons, crank, ex/in mani
packaging issues with housing a 30-35 frame turbo (the inlet is the issue especially if you stick with a MAF driven ECU)


lot of S4/RS4's running 500 with much less hardware

I know what mine cost to build and I never got it into the car
