New wheels fitted! 205/55/17's on A4 B5

Hi all!

Just thought I'd share this snippit of information in case others are attempting the same sort of thing.

I have managed to fit 205/55/17 tyres to my B5 with no apparent rubbing of the arches and / or suspension components.

The alloys are ET40 7J, and suspension setup is standard.

205/55r17 are about 30mm larger in rolling radius than the correct size. This will have messed up the speedo and lengthened the gearing a little, but not too badly. As you say, plenty room on the stock suspension for the bigger tyres.

The real question is why have you fitted those rather than the right size?!

Any pics of them fitted?
