    What's it worth ?

Hi, I've been offered a 2003 S4 2.7 in silver with 95k on the clock. It has a full audi dealer service history from day 1 and the guy who is selling it is the original owner. Think it was one of the last ones made as it has the carbon dashboard. I know the owner and the car has never been abused or been on a track and is completely unmodified, other than a Parrot bluetooth fit. He has recently spent £500 getting the original alloys refurbished due to blistering. The only fault I can find is the LCD display as some of the pixels are missing but other than that it seems straight and in excellent condition.
I think it's worth between £4000 and £6000 but as there are so few for sale which are unmodified and original with full dealer history I'm not sure. Also would there be any big bills coming up ie Campbeltown change ? Etc ?
Your help and suggestions would be very much appreciated.

2003? They were available (and with carbon trim) in the UK from September 1998 to early 2001.

One thing to be very wary of with full dealer history is that it's likely they won't have changed the thermostat (and possibly waterpump) when doing cambelt changes. Also, it's very unlikely the Audi Techs working on lovely new cars all the time will have seen many 2.7TT's, so unless they are particularly clued up are likely to have missed a number of the common faults that the specialists will be all too aware of.

£6000 would be top money for a standard car, even with that mileage. You can buy some of the very nicest modified examples for around that!

I'd suggest you test drive some others, even (especially!! :D ) modified cars. You may be surprised. For instance, my 14 year old S4 (with carbon trim) has done 121,000 miles. It has 2 year old suspension and bushes, 2 year old turbos, year old exhaust, clutch, flywheel, new EGT sensors, new MAF, over 50% more power than standard, etc,

It's been on a track, it's been driven like a performance car should and it's still got a lot more going for it than a standard car. ;-)
    Mo power, mo problems

When I bought mine I found the majority were unmodified. Mine is still more standard than this example, it does not even have a phone kit or aftermarket stereo!
