1.8 QTS down on power

I feel that my qts is a little sluggish for what is supposed to be 180bhp. Are there any common faults that could be causing me to loose power? DV, boost leek, egr etc?


I'll be getting the car rolling roaded in the next few months but would like to try and improve things a little beforehand if at all possible.

If you can get the codes read by someone, that's really the first step, could be something simple like a dv valve gone had that last year on the mrs's car when we bought it.

Replace all the vac lines and DV like ian said get the codes read too could be maf related, also get a boost gauge fitted to check your seeing correct boost pressure as mine was showing 6psi instead of 12psi and turned out to be the wastegate penny valve in the turbine housing being totally fubar'd.
