have been getting occasional clonk on pulling away and braking so got under car and found drivers side gearbox is shot what kind of job is it to change 1999 tdi a4 b5 manual transmission

Pretty easy if your diy capable. 3 bolts hold it in place you may need to jack the box up and loosen the n/s one to get it out.
