Another newbie question - Clutch

I've noticed that the clutch on my used audi engages quite high up. In my other cars this usually meant it was worn.

When I spoke to the independent dealer I bought it from he said most audis were like. He has an A6 and stated it was the same with him.

Is he telling porkies or being truthful and if the clutch is fecked how much of a bank loan will I need?

He speaks the truth... They do have a high biting point, i like it, some don't
IF it feels ok bar that ,it probably is
