whilst I've got the front end of I've wondered if its worth replacing the front engine mount for a snub mount.

but is it worth the upgrade as I've got the auto/triptronic gear box not manual, so would I get same drivetrain movement

Get the diesel rubber snub mount, diesel or manual the engine will move under load so a sha**ed snub mount will just eat your engine mounts quicker !

I would get the genuine rubber one, from local dealer- it's only a tenner.

£10 for diesel one might be good idea, as I can get it this week but if I order from 034 I'd have to wait and I'm hoping to get car back together next weekend

is the rs4 one a straight fit or do you need the matching bracket it goes into? as that also has a different part number

It's a straight fit and I deffo noticed the difference!

well I've front end off to change water pump so will be easier.

I've ordered one it will be here Thursday £9.50 plus vat

Think I used a bit of silicone spray just to help slide it onto it's post
