My car only came with one key :( is their a cheapish way of getting a new one cut and coded or is it audi only :( I'm thinking of trying hickley valtone but any other options?

Hi mate, I had one replaced via vw for my mk4 golf. They provided the key and coding for 150 if I remember correctly but that was a few years ago now.

Can you not buy a blank key, get it cut and programmed in via vagcom?

Im sure ive seen keys for sale on eBay

Cheers

Tris

You need the code from the dash to code yourself and a blank transponder.

Vagtacho can extract the pin code. I got a key cut from ebay via a photo and a blank transponder.
Just need new fob with the same freq as yours.
Might be worth getting a price from audi.

yeh you can do it pretty cheap if your prepared to do a bit of legwork and DIY.

Get yourself a used fob, two or three button will work fine, ebay is your best bet here, you can get them for around 20quid if your patient. Alternatively, find someone breaking an A4!
Blade cut to fit as mentioned above.

Then you'll need vagtacho to pull the SKC from the cluster, and program the new transponder.

I reused the immo transponder in the used fob when i did mine, it recoded just fine.
