    turbo lag

    hey guys quick question how can i get rid of my turbo lag on my 2001 s4!! im a huge fan just not of the lag bimmers are gettin me off the line and its drivein me nuts haha plz help me out ASAP

    easy, if you want to drag it, practice your launches at 3k revs, not from idle...

    Yeah if you dont have enough revs it will bog down since its 4wd and the BM's will not have such a bad problem since they are rear wheel drive.

    But get it right and it should fly!!

    S4's have so little lag. Give it 3000rpm or more from a standstill and you'll smoke 'em!

    wow thanks guys last night im driveing home from school and sure enough a 95 M3 pulls up next to me at a light and i remembered what yall had said and sure enough I WHOOPED HIM! haha gotta love that quattro! but is there any other way other than revin it to 3grand and droppin it?? id love to just be able to hit it anf go w/o a launch

    Only other way i know of for my car in that situation is by slipping the clutch a little.

    This also makes the car not bog down.

    well then im glad i orderd the chip from AWE last week haha thankx guys so far i have 6 bimmers under my belt and im hopeing to get alot more after all my stuff comes in the next few weeks ill keep you posted
