my 1999 headlights are poor light output would i be better of with osram nightbreakers or hid kit ?i know about legality issues with hid i had fitted to my shogun sport but they still had proper cut off on beam setter at mot station

You running facelift or prefacelift head lights?
I'm running the night breakers and they are a lot better but it could still be better.
I'm going to get a hid kit at some point but the night breakers are good enough to fill the gap for now.

If the indicators are built in to the head lamp, then they are facelift.
Night breakers are fine for a interim I think but ultimately you want HIDs.
I'm not sure what sort to go for yet, I've not started looking in to it but there are several members with after market HiDs.
