hi guys not been on for a while but while ive been away ive brought some goodies and need help with ...

help needed is pix info on fitting fmic behind standard tsport pre face lift fromt bumper,????

Where did the K04 come from? Its not one of those cheapy ebay ones is it?

What intercooler do you have?

Why have you bought a boost controller?

Why have you bought 8K HID's?

Who are Turbo Solutions? If its one of the ebay ones that got for £300ish, then i wouldnt be touching it with a bargepole.


8k HID's are going to be useless, you want 4.3k ones.


Is it a generic toyosport cooler? This is mine fitted:

av u got that fitted behind standard bumper ?? ifso did u have to cut much out from inside bumper for clearnce thnks and why a lower k hid instead of higher cheers

I too am runnin the toyosport FMIC.


Little bit of trimming behind any bumper (standard or s4) is required, easily done with a grinder in about 10min. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of that one.



Lower "K" lamps are whiter, thus generally closer to daylight. The bluer (higher k) you go, the less effective the lighting becomes.

Yours looks like the A4 specific cooler? Mine was just a generic one, thats a bit wider than the A4 specific one.

I had to cut a fair chunk of metal out of the bumper carrier, remove the fogs, and hack the lower grilles about a fair bit.


As for the lights, your eye is less sensitive to blue than other colors in the spectrum. The higher the K value, the more blue the light becomes. Halogen bulbs are about 3000k, factory fit Xenons use 4300k. Any higher than 4300k and the light becomes too blue and less effective. Great for looking chavvy, bad for actually seeing the road!

Personally, i'd buy a pair of genuine Orsam D2S lamps, and then use the little adaptor plates to convert the H7 bulb holder to D2S. That way you've got proper high quality factory fitment D2S lamps, rather than chinese tat that doesnt work properly.

thanks guys defo need to see better as most of the roads i use at night r unlit and looooong winding hence why i wasnted the upgrade as standard the ****** lowsy,

as for the cooler ye its specific for the a4 b5 not a make to fit 1 so hopefully will go on nicely but hey we all know that never happens lol ,
